Who doesn't love a deal? No one wants to overpay! So what's a good way to find a deal? Even millionaires buying a home are looking to pay as little as possible. Here are three ways to make sure you're not paying more than you have to:
1) Sign up for your favorite store's emails for first dibs on sales, discount codes, and reward announcements. LIMIT YOURSELF. Do I buy clothes from other retailers? Sure, but the best way not to miss a good email is to not sign up for too many. No one likes an inbox full of emails they won't read so ONLY sign up for emails from stores that you *regularly* shop from. Sometimes you may stumble upon an online sale but all the good stuff is gone or your sizes are sold out! Best way to be in the know is to sign up for emails and follow them on social media.
2) Check Amazon.com. There are deal apps you can download on your phone to compare prices but in a pinch, I'll always just check Amazon.com first because they'll often have the best price. You also can't put a price on convenience so if you factor in the time and gas and aggravation saved from going to a brick and mortar, Amazon often comes out on top. And of course, there's that Prime Shipping and even Prime Now that can get you your items in as little as HOURS. Also, Amazon offers Lightning Deals. You can go to their Lightning Deal page and see what deals are coming up! I spotted a deal that was coming up and when it was live, I was able to snag a Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends MINIS Steelworks Stunt Set for less than $10 instead of the retail price of $30! 3) Go through Ebates. Check my separate blog on that but I have literally saved HUNDREDS of dollars in the last several years by using the Ebates program. SO EASY. You click through Ebates.com first and then on to whatever site you were intending to visit. More often than not, your destination is part of the Ebates program and you'll get money back just for doing your regular shopping. Check my Ebates post to learn how to instantly get $10 for yourself when you click on my referral link!
